When Jesus Becomes Our Shepherd

When the Lord begins to lead
He never leaves us alone

Although we may pull away for awhile
He will never leave us on our own

In confusion we may have strayed a distance from the herd
The Good Shepherd calls from infront
His own hear and move toward his words

As we look back on the journey we took while we were away
We will see He was with us all along through each and every day

Luke 15:4 Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?

John 10:3-5 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”
