I Do Not Want To Be A Chicken

Lord, I don’t want to be a chicken
Afraid of the things you have required of me

I’d rather step out into deep waters
Striving to fulfill the call on my life and destiny

I don’t want to fear what men may say
I’d rather stand in boldness, proclaiming you are the way

I refuse to live my life like a clucking bird
Instead, I’ll move in the power, letting your voice be heard

You’ve given riches from heaven into these earthly hands
God, I’m asking you for boldness to fulfill the great command

I refuse to utter the bach, bach sound throughout my numbered days
I’ll stand for you no matter what  and proclaim you are the only way
